Blogtober Day 12: My Favourite Fall Quotes
I LOVE a good quote. Some people think quotes can be a bit cheesy, but I disagree. It’s wonderful when you find a quote that perfectly puts into words a specific feeling you have, or something you’ve struggled to describe before. The right quote can make you feel things.
Autumn is an emotive time of year. It’s a period of change, and when things are changing around you it can make you introspective. For me it’s a time to evaluate where I’m at with my goals and in life generally. I can’t help it, it just happens! Luckily it’s usually a positive experience – I’m looking at what I’m doing well and what I can do better. In fact lately I’ve gone back to my 101 things list and started planning crossing off a few more things.
Quotes about autumn isn’t something I’ve ever really thought of before, so I had to go on a little search for some that I really identified with. Here are a few of my favourites:
“Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day.” ― Shira Tamir
“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall” – Oscar Wilde
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” – L.M. Montgomery
It seriously collapsed right into fall today! And I LOVE IT!!
Ahh brilliant. I love those quotes. It is great when you discover that someone has put something into words so perfectly.
Loved the quotes! Like Abby said I feel summer collapsing into fall was really true today! haha
These quotes are so good. I am too glad that we live in a world where there are Octobers. What would it be like without them?
Lovely quotes! Today (well starting yesterday) we got our first could snap and fall is finally upon us 😁😁😁
